I am a high school science teacher that is currently working in Toronto. During the summer I enjoy traveling abroad to various countries and teach ESL to students.

I am outgoing, adventurous, and caring person who enjoys spending time with family and friends. I feel it is important to create positive and long-lasting memories with people. I enjoying making new connections with people where I go.

Travelling has become more and more important to me as time has passed. I believe travelling involves more than laying on a beach (which is great), but also involves exploring and experiencing everything culturally a city/country has to offer.

As an active person I enjoy running, yoga, and weight lifting, as well as playing sports from soccer to volleyball. I really love listening to music at any time whether it to relax at home, working out or going out dancing. During my quite time I enjoy reading various articles and watching movies.

My philosophy on life can be summed up in 2 ways:
1. To experience and learn as much as possible in this lifetime. As well, to make a positive impact on others such as in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life."
2. "Absorb what is useful, discard what is not. Add what is uniquely your own" ~Bruce Lee

My travelling interests are very diverse and my wish list is to visit all seven continents of the world, as well as to see the Seven Wonders of the World. I love checking out all UNESCO World Heritage sites when travelling.

I love exercising especially weight lifting and running. I have participated in a half-marathon in San Diego during my march break and a couple 10K runs within Canada. I like walking and biking, as well as playing sports such as soccer, volleyball, and basketball. I am major hockey fan and will watch any sport on TV and live.

Besides being active, I enjoy reading books on science, technology, politics and business. I appreciate discussing current and world affairs with friends and family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend has done Couchsurfing many times and has raved about her experiences. I decided to join the Couchsurfing community to expand my travelling experiences, while meeting new people.

I am able to teach how to cook various Italian foods. I can teach how to play certain sports as I am high school coach. I would like to learn to speak common phrases in various languages.
