About Me

I'm Paul-Emmanuel, of course you can call me Paul! I'm from Paris, France.
Right now I'm spending my year (2014-2015) in Long Beach, California to study Computer Science.

I'm done with it, but before coming straight back to home I wanted to do something amazing. So I decided to visit some great cities in the US. I already did San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Chicago. I would like to do Cleveland, Boston, New-York and Washington DC.

I like to travel and discover new vistas as well as meeting real people and not staying in an hotel room.

Some people write their philosophy, so I'll share mine:

- "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough" - Mae West

I will add this one too:

-"One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I want to see the world and I'm am also eager to share my home so this is the best way to meet new people and have fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a favorite music, I listen to a lot of type of music. However, my favorite singer/composer is Serge Gainsbourg, my favorite band is The Doors and my favorite composer is Leonard Bernstein.

My favorite director is David Fincher and my favorite movies are "L'auberge Español" (with the two sequels), "The Goodfellas" and "Dr Strangelove".

I have two favorite writers, Jack London and Alexandre Dumas, so my favorite books are "White Fang", "Martin Eden" and "The Count of Monte Cristo". I like "Harry Potter" too ;).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Actually there are two things:

- My winter 2014 road-trip with some friends. In the "cold" winter of California we spend some time on the road and more at amazing places (Lake Tahoe, Death Valley, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon). It was wonderful!

- My actual trip, I discover really cool cities and it changes my vision over some. I'm just not behind my TV anymore, I'm walking, eating and meeting new people in those fabulous cities.

What I Can Share with Hosts
