About Me

Originally from the US, I have spent the last 30 years in Costa Rica working in the nonprofit and technology sectors. As a founder of a startup and an educator, I have been deeply involved in nurturing the tech community here. My life in Costa Rica has been a blend of business challenges and rich cultural exchanges. I love exploring new ideas and collaborating on projects that have a positive impact.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to connect with like-minded individuals from around the world. I enjoy the opportunity to meet new people, learn from their experiences, and share the warmth of Costa Rican hospitality. Whether it's swapping stories over a home-cooked meal or exploring local dives together, I'm excited about the friendships and learning opportunities that Couchsurfing brings.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have eclectic tastes in music, enjoying everything from Alt '80s to Latin jazz. My favorite movies tend to be thought-provoking documentaries, classic cinema or, best of all, Sci Fi. As for books, I'm often found reading non-fiction, especially titles related to technology, psychology, and history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Organizing and leading the tech industry here in Costa Rica was an incredibly rewarding experience. It not only put Costa Rica on the map within the tech community but also fostered significant local and international partnerships.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always eager to teach others about digital transformation and the power of technology in solving real-world problems. I'm also keen to learn about other cultures, languages, and cooking styles. Sharing experiences, knowledge, and time with others is what I value most.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hosts can look forward to engaging conversations, a taste of Costa Rican cuisine with my own twist, and insights into the local tech scene. I'm also more than happy to share my knowledge of yoga and mindfulness practices for a relaxing and enriching visit.
