About Me

I'm originally from Western Australia. I'm 34 and I'm half Dutch. I have lived in Tasmania since January 2016, first living in Launceston, then in the North-East, then in Penguin, then Devonport, Turners Beach, and now back in Penguin. I have a 4 year old daughter who means the world to me. I have her with me week on week off.

I have done some traveling, especially to Europe, around Oz, and a lot when I was much younger with the family; but I'd love to do more. I love music. I sing and play guitar, and dabble in other instruments. I'm passionate about wildlife and the environment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling, and have really admired and cherished the people who have let me stay at their homes. I hosted couchsurfers in Launceston and when I lived in South-West WA, and I have loved the experience. I host on and off, when it is possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite recording artists are Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Sufjan Stevens, The National, and Daniel Johnston. My favourite films are Pulp Fiction and the works of Quentin Tarantino, The Cohen Brothers' films, hilarious comedies, and nature docos. My favourite novels are the Harry Potter series, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, The Silver Linings Playbook, The Power of One, the Cormoran Strike novels, and The Death of Bunny Munroe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach guitar and I'm great with computers and other technologies. I'm eager to learn and experience new things. I like to share what I have and what I know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my fun personality, my stories, my home brews if I have any at the time, my music, and maybe I can teach you how to play some guitar if you're keen. I am happy to hang out and show you around the area if you like. I have some board games and video games to play.
