Overview
About Me
I was born in Poteau Oklahoma into a coal mining family. Left soon after to Illinois, California, Virginia, Arizona and then Texas. I have a Computing Science/Electrical Engineering degree which I used for 20 years working for IBM
and having 3 startups. I eventually sold out and became a commercial real estate broker. I am no longer a broker or engineer but invest in real estate full time. I also know a lot about FX (currencies) and the stock market.
I have traveled to 20+ countries. Most recently I have fell in love with Bali and have made two trips there recently. My next adventure will take me to Iceland, Sweden and Finland. Hoping to make some new friends there.
I am not political but I would fall into the Libertarian camp if I had to choose. I have to admit I am feeling the "Bern".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have had many friends urging me to get on this website from there experiences. They tell me it is worth my time. If I make a new friend it was worth it!
I am not only looking for a place to stay but also to meet up. My travels have taught me that seeing how someone lives is a speedy way to get into a culture vs staying at a hotel and trying to get a feel for it all.
Interests
I am into green building, alternate energy, gardening and travel. I have never been married and have no children so I am able to come and go as I please. My travels around the world have expanded my mind and I need more!
I can play guitar and love to sing to myself. I have a love affair with the grand canyon and have completed 15+ river trips. You should put that one on your bucket list.
I have traveled extensivley in Alaska and have spent many summers there catching and smoking Sockeye Salmon (Mmmmmmm).

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music but I mostly listen to rock, metal, and classical. Being from the live music capital of the world I have seen endless talented musicians from all over the world.
I have read many books lately and really love Louise Hay. The law of attraction, the four agreements are in my top 10. Now that I have a kindle I can carry all of my favs with me at all times including The Impersonal Life.
I have been a serial watcher of many things on netflix most recently Kuckoo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went around the world in 1998.
