About Me
Hello to everybody, I’m Paul from Berlin. Recently I finished my masters degree of education and started to work as a teacher for music, history and politics. My passion is music, I am nearly into any kind of genre, especially if it’s handmade. That’s why I’m always on the hunt for good live concerts, open stages or buskers. I love to play the saxophone and the piano in small bands or simply sing with friends while sitting together and celebrating some good glasses of beer. ;)
Besides, I want to discover different cultures, cities and landscapes and even learn a little bit more about History.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling means more than the sight-seeing-stuff to me. I want to get to know the people living there and maybe get an idea of the spirit of the city, the culture and everyday life. Let's share experiences, discuss about different Views in life and have a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books
where to start, where to stop the list of good stuff?
maybe some old swinging jazz of the 30ies or daily live jazz, some klezmer for the soul, some good folk music for singing, ska, balkan beats and funk for dancing, and sometimes I even need a good portion of classical Beethoven. let's talk in person about all the inbetweens.
It's quite the same about books, so why don't you start with Richard Powers (The Time of Our Singing, Generosity: An Enhancement) or Matt Ruff (Fool on the Hill, The Mirage).
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to share experiences and points of view, I want to discover new cultures or discuss issues. I'm open minded and ready to learn anything from you. Therefore I can show you how to play some instruments or we can sing or cook together.
