8 years backpacking experience and growing, hoping to meet someone local on Couchsurfing to learn more about yourself, life in Japan, and just for the joy of interaction. :) I’m a young 40-something (think I’m still 12 sometimes, just mature in the right ways :p) I love dancing for fun and organise a lot of big dance parties at my apartment back home - I'm a really friendly, clean, experienced, thoughtful, considerate, affectionate easy going, very open minded independent guy British guy (from Wales, though my accent is very clear!) Emotionally and intellectually very conscious, loves dancing and travelling and lovely chats long in to the night. Never married, no children, just a lot of life experiences (some a little crazy!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a long term solo traveller, driving thousands of kilometres which means long periods without human company, I would especially love to meet someone local for an insightful experience in to local life, history and culture - I can often feel that I'm missing out as an outsider. Pllllease enrich my experience, I'm sure I've a lot that could enrich yours. :)

Interests

Travelling, dancing, history, culture, people, emotions, loving and sensuality, finding kind open minded conscious people, philosophy, anthropology, computer games. Sleep. :) Hard to beat a lovely conversation with someone with a good heart and an open mind. Really love cats.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went solo backpacking for 5 years solid in 2003-2007.
Drove my sportscar (solo) through 35 countries, 74 borders, 51000km in 2015 through Med islands in summer to the arctic and driving in the frozen seas to neighbouring islands.
Driven and walked around in over 450 towns and villages in Spain over 6 months in 2006, solo.
Driven a Mustang (solo ofc!) down the Californian coast from San Francisco to Mexico.

I've a degree in Theoretical Physics and have been programming since I was 10. But I enjoy the affectionate, emotional and philosophical aspects of living the most, I'm no stereotype of anything. :)
