About Me

A 28-year-old cheerful Dutchie that enjoys getting in touch with people from all over the world. My main hobbies/interests are history, languages, railways, politics and organizing dinners. I finished my bachelor's studies and am now working at the Civil Registration in the Municipality of Amersfoort.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At 19-05-2023 I will be in Budapest, at 20-05-2023 in Vienna and 21-05-2023 in Bratislava.

I am on Couchsurfing to meet amazing people and to introduce travellers to the pearl of the eastern Netherlands, Dalfsen (and Zwolle). I also want to orient myself to various travel destinations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2019 I have been to Chile and Argentina, my first trip outside of Europe, it was an experience to never forge, to be able to get to know a part of the world that is so far away was wonderful!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a bit of experience with teaching dutch, history (dutch perspective) and biology because of a language project i participated in and the teaching i did as a side job to tutor high school students.

I love learning new things about other cultures, especially food haha! The variation of tasty food around the world shows the beautiful innovative side of humans, besides that I strongly believes that food unites people. I love to cook but won't say I am a master chef, nevertheless I like to prepare and share dishes from the traditional dutch cuisine which is underrated in my humble opinion haha.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My enthusiasm and knowledge about a lot of different aspects from my village Dalfsen and hometown Zwolle and besides that cultural and historical information about the Netherlands.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
