About Me
I'm working on a PhD in English at the University of Oregon in Eugene. I'm originally from Wisconsin and have lived in a few other states as well. I'm an introvert who likes company in small groups.

Music, Movies, and Books
As far as books go, try me. My personal favorite authors are William Faulkner, Cormac McCarthy, Hunter Thompson, Flannery O'Connor, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Charles Bukowski, David Benioff, Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradbury, Jack Kerouac...I'll stop there. I tend to like fantasy and horror movies from the 80s most of all, but I'm open to others. Labyrinth, Legend, Nightmare on Elm Street, stuff like that. I really like Donnie Darko, too. And independent movies starring Willem Dafoe. As far as music goes, I'm a rock and roll kind of guy. I love some Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd. Also into newer(ish) stuff like 16 Horsepower, Woven Hand, Brown Bird, Lumineers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not too amazing, but I've written a novel.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what this means, but I'm totally into teaching, learning, and sharing. In fact, those are the things I've done most of all.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm genuinely curious and would like to hear what you have to say. If your dog or cat needs some petting, I'm up to the challenge. I'm just an honest, imperfect, real person who wants to see things and meet people.
