About Me

Born and raised in Paris, France. I have been living and working as a structural engineer in New York city since 2007.

I am pretty independent and enjoy a quiet time as much as good company. I consider myself as easy going and don't need much to be happy. I am one of those that has the security of a desk job but dreams of adventures all the time !

I love the outdoors and will do a lot for a good hike. I typically travel with a tent and a water pump ! I have discovered the fun of bouldering recently and probably will have climbing shoes in my pack.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am pretty open when it comes to music. I used to play the violin so I have something for classical music and opera, but I will also enjoy jazz, rock, rap, disco, and anything else !

My favorite movies ? From Life is Beautiful to Lost in Translation through The fifth element and Crouching Tiger and hidden dragons... I also enjoy japanese animation a lot, especially the works of Studio Ghibli.

Top 5 books ? Dune, The Stranger, My Sweet Orange Tree, Musashi, Collapse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 4 days on my own driving around the jungly mountains of Northern Thailand on a little motorcycle. I had a tent and would sleep in the middle of the clear cut fields. It was a lot of fun and a very exhilarating experience.
The best part is that I don't know how to drive and never had a driving license !

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach almost as much as I love to learn. I have formally taught structural engineering for a few semester, but I also like to share whatever skill I have: French, English, photography...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully some good conversation and good company ! But at least good meal.
