ABOUT ME

I'm an Australian living in Den Haag (The Hague). I have a fascination with cultures and people. I'm slowly learning Dutch and enjoying the experience. I'm a chilled people-person, love talking about life, the universe and everything...

I am vegetarian and enjoy cooking for others, also happy to teach what I know. I practise and teach mindfulness, shamanic healing, mind-body-heart connection, conscious living and relationships, living in but not of the Matrix and so much more.

A Dutch friend and I regularly host talking stick circles in Den Haag. I'm currently looking at opening up a small arthouse cinema and cafe in DH with the idea of providing a space for watching and discussing inspirational films. I believe we are all connected and the future of our species depends on us waking up to that reality.

I love visiting other places and experiencing the local culture and daily life rather than tourist spots. A throw a reasonable Frisbee, too... ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'm travelling at present, mostly to meet local people where I'm travelling, to share stories, experiences and skills at times.

Interests

Photography, drawing, cycling, motorbike riding, forest walks & nature, sustainability, alternative and indigenous healing, Tai Chi, story-telling, shamanism, human dynamics and relationships...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: anything that uplifts, be it deep and meaningful, educational or just plain fun. Some films that come to mind include The Matrix, Avatar, anything by Kryzstof Kieslowski, David Lynch, Jodorowsky, Jarmusch, Errol Morris and too many to list.
Music: a wide variety, mostly now I listen to the silence, or other people's music, often music without words, or in a language I don't understand.
Books: Way of the Peaceful Warrior, You Can Heal Your Life, Stuart Wilde, Abraham Hicks, Conversations With a Duck, The Future of Love

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat in an ayahuasca ceremony next to molten lava in Hawaii.
Lived for a year in a parallel experience to Dan Millman in Way of the Peaceful Warrior.
Healed my relationships with my parents.
Had a near-death experience (crossed over and returned)
