I spent 19 years in the Air Force in NZ and have now left to embark on the next journey of my life.

I'm a friendly, positive and hard working guy who loves to do things for other people. I'm very open-minded, and being objective in our discussions, all topics are open.

I spent the first 11 years of my career as a specialist aircraft welder and the remaining time as aircrew on the C-130 Hercules. The latter of which took me to many places around the world and it was an amazing job. The travel was something very unique and now I'm experiencing the world on my own and seeing things from the other side.

To get to know the real culture and people in places I'm travelling. I will be staying in hostels, using couchsurfing and staying with friends I've met on my travels etc but my focus is to actually enjoy the culture of each place and not just do all the tourist activities.
I'm on here to meet people and hopefully add value to their lives while also getting value out of meeting new people.
I'm here to interact and share however understand also that people have their own lives and can't share all the time I'm in your house so I remain flexible.

Anything goes almost but to name a few: Diving, sailing, fishing, skiing/snowboarding, mountain biking, trekking, and almost any sport.
I love cooking (because I love eating so much). Baking and brewing.

I love many types of music though a lot of the commercial pop and r&b is pretty hard to enjoy. I mostly enjoy singer songwriter types like Ben Howard and Jack Johnson but also love a lot of reggae, chilled, and some techno and trance.
I love watching movies but am not an avid watcher, I prefer to be interactive.

I'm a hardworking and caring guy who likes to do his best to help out with anything wherever I'm staying. I've had some amazing experiences and plenty of stories to go with them and I look forward to the same from my hosts. I also hope to continue improving my Spanish which is now at a low-intermediate conversational level.
