About Me
If you would like to find out more "about me", as this profile section suggests, you can also read some of my references. In my opinion it is always better to let others describe oneself, because I am (obviously) biased towards myself :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience different cultures in depth. There is no better platform than Couchsurfing for making this possible.
Couchsurfing is a unique way to meet complete strangers and live with them as if you were their best friend, including the very likely possibility of eventually becoming good friends. That's precious and this why I love couchsurfing.
I was hosted by:
David Meisterjahn in Doha, Qatar
Melissa and Manhar Dalal in Al Ain, UAE
Tom Gundacker and Katrin Tauber in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Interests
I am always interested in learning more and making new experiences. This is why travelling is one of the things I enjoy most from.
The Middle East in particular is a place I have always been fascinated with. The diversity of culture, the rich history behind places and the contrasting values to the place I have grown up are some of the factors, why the Middle East became my favourite place in the world.
My wife says she knows no person who is as "foody" as me and she is right with that, I am extremely curious about food, new food and I love to eat well and much.

Music, Movies, and Books
The dystopian "1984" by George Orwell is a masterpiece I am glad I have read. The accuracy in which Orwell described a postmodern totalitarian state is breathtaking.
