Overview
About Me
Hi !
My name is Paul, I'm 23 y.o. and I live in Paris, where I share a flat with my girlfriend.
I'm a Law student at the Sorbonne University, from which I got a Masters degree in EU Law and Human Rights studies. So if you come to Paris after June, I would be happy to give you a campus tour !
Apart from that, I happen to be a History fan and an Art lover :-) If you come to Paris, it would be my pleasure to suggest you a museum or a quarter to explore.
Until June, I will be very busy with my studies, as I am taking a prep course for the ENM* admittance exam, but -afterwards- I would be happy to host couch-surfers from all around the world !
(*ENM = the French National School for the Judiciary, where magistrates are trained)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What brings me here ?
One of my best friends told me about his experience on this website, both as a couch-surfer and a host, and he was highly satisfied with this new way of traveling, so I thought the best thing to do was to jump in and try it for myself.
As a student, I don't have much money and - in many cities- finding cheap travel accommodation is far from easy. Therefore, I'm offering you to stay on my convertible couch in exchange of free accommodation when I come to visit your city or country :-)
Otherwise, I just expect my guests to be smiling and interesting people !
And if you feel like cooking a dish from your country to make me discover that part of your culture, I'd be really into that !
Furthermore, I would be happy to share a beer with you, give tips to other couch-surfers when they visit Paris, even if I can't host them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In December 2016, some friends and I were supposed to spend the festive season in Morocco (road-trip) but our flight was overbooked... Nevertheless, we had the opportunity to cancel our tickets and choose another destination: lots of seats were available for the next flight to Rio de Janeiro, so we decided to jump in without any idea of what to do there, without having booked any accommodation. But seconds before having to turn our mobile devices off for take-off, we managed to find a French expat who lived in Rio and who agreed to host us for the night.
We ended up spending a week at his guest house, celebrating Christmas with him and his family, enjoying the daily -and free- bowls of Caipirinha he and his spouse used to prepare for their guests during happy hour. As he knew we were students, our host offered us accommodation for barely nothing and made us discover so much more in return... It was one of my greatest trips and possibly my best encounter ever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to teach you some typical french recipes, suggest you my favorite places in the city and give you an introduction to the french language in order for you to use the "basics" during your stay in Paris.
I'm a huge fan of arts and sports so I would be happy to come with you (in my spare time) if you want to go to the stadium for a game or visit one of Paris' museums.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I can host you during your time in Paris, I will cook some French recipes and show you around in my spare time ! In exchange, just tell me about your traveling experiences and your culture :-)
