About Me

I am a recent university graduate and I can't wait to travel Europe this summer! my goal is to meet as many new friends as possible and learn about the culture of each city i visit.

I am an American high school English teacher, and I believe that learning never stops. I am constantly on the lookout for new stories and ideas to share with my students that are personal and meaningful. I believe that every person has a unique story and purpose, and I want to be able to experience as many people's stories as I can.

When I'm not teaching, I'm working on my blog, working on my photography, or enjoying the outdoors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to experience the places I go in an authentic and real way with the people who live there. Finding a Couchsurfing host is not just a way to find a free place to stay, but it's a way of making a meaningful connection with a host, and learning about them, their culture, and their city at the same time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught English to refugees in Debrecen, Hungary. I also lived in the refugee camp with them and was able to hear stories of their struggles and bravery. I ate so much good food and had so many great conversations there- haha!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am so excited to learn from those gracious enough to host me. As a teacher, it doesn't always feel like I get to learn as much as I'd like to. However, my students teach me things every day, and I know that my hosts will do the same thing. I absolutely LOVE in-depth conversations about life and what makes it meaningful, and I hope to have many of these during my travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know a lot about Greek Mythology, a little about photography, and nothing about YOU!

Countries I’ve Visited

Hungary, Mexico
