Overview
About Me
Berlin-based student of geography, currently in Arizona for a research stay. Seeker for a lifetime, curios, often amazed, sometimes confused by this world.
Right now, I am in Phoenix for a research stay, trying to write my thesis. It is about water in the west, shortages and impacts of climate change, municipal adaptation to it. Hugely fascinating and I could talk about it for hours... I mean, just look at a recent picture from Lake Mead... ;-)
I value awareness and personal development, curiosity and some good sarcasm.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Broaden my horizon... getting to know more people outside of my bubble... sharing stories and experiences... gaining different perspectives of this world we all live in.... also saving on costs which can be spend in many other ways, e.g. preparing nice dinners together!
Interests
Some of the things I like to do are bouldering (also rock climbing outdoors, whenever possible), meditating, cooking vegetarian or vegan, at best for and with friends, hiking, reading, playing ping-pong, hang up a hammock, set up a bonfire...
- meditation
- reading
- hiking
- backpacking
- deep conversations
Music, Movies, and Books
I am in love with slow, melodic electronic music, downtempo, ethno techno... plus some mixed stuff, from Latin house over slack rock to African grooves.
Currently reading Dalai Lama's The Art of Happiness.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being on a raft under starlit skies in Cambodia and jumping into water with luminescent plankton.
