About Me

I was 21 years old when I did my first trip to Europe. In 1973, It was normal then to hitch-hike a ride and find a park bench to sleep the night away. Sometimes, when I was lucky, I'd find a friendly local who would invite me over their place for a comfortable sleep over. Those were the days... before couchsurfing.

I'm in my 70's now (already) and I am grateful for the generosity of these hosts for these fleeting moments. I now appreciate to host the world in my home and travel through my guests.

Welcome home !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to host travellers from around the world who are looking to meet "the locals".

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy rock and roll music (Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Doors, R.E.M.) but also the electronica style (Bjork, Radiohead, The Field, Moderat) . Truly I am interested in many types of music but I do not appreciate opera so much.

I like movies (Shawshank Redemption, Forest Gump, Groundhog Day) and TV series (Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, M.A.S.H, This is us...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have invested a lot of my time, as a volunter for AFS (https://afs.org/), an international students exchange program . Between 1992 and 2004 I have hosted 5 students for a year to allow them to learn about my culture and learn french.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to talk but I also like to listen and learn about people and their way of life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

With my guests I want to travel around my area and in Montreal. I like to cook and share my meals.
