My name is Paul, I'm an eccentric musician and I'm excited about traveling and broadening my worldview. I'm 22 years old and I'm looking forward to the experiences that I'll have out on the road, both positive and negative.
I've been playing the highland bagpipes since I was 14 and I do a lot of street performing.

I like music, art and poetry, and I like to read about the environment, economics, politics- I'd really like to get a grasp of how the world actually functions, as opposed to the idealized and commercialized images of the world that are given to me by the media and by advertising.
I felt a strong sense of disrespect and condescension from teachers whilst I was in school, and I seldom forged any meaningful connections with my teachers. As such, I grew to dislike reading, as I associated most of those negative emotions I experienced in school with the act of reading. I've since grown to appreciate reading more.
I've loved listening to the radio ever since I was a little kid. I had a very severe lisp when I was younger, and listening to Garrison Keillor, Carl Kassel, and Peter Sagal on NPR was particularly inspirational. I remember standing in the bathroom during recess in elementary school, talking to myself in the mirror, wishing that I could speak with that level of clarity and confidence. Guy Newar- Private Eye is likely my favorite radio show ever :) If you've never listened to it before, I highly recommend it.
