About Me

CURRENT MISSION

For every "Let's do it," there should be a "We did it."

ABOUT ME

In between my studies I like to get out as much as possible to do interesting and adventurous stuff. I love music, the ocean and Cape Town. I like cycling recreationally, longboarding and building things with my hands. I like to believe I get along with people really well and even better with anyone who can get me off my chair and out doing something.

PHILOSOPHY

For every "Let's do it," there should be a "We did it," and if this should lead to biting off more than you can chew, take a deep breath and chew it anyway; you'll be amazed at what you're capable of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host my appartment on Couchsurfing to help out fellow travelers as I know travelling can be a costly thing. I like having travelers over as it gives me a great reason to go out and find something interesting to experience. Though I will not always have time to play tourguide, when I do have time I am definately up for it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have only had two Couchsurfing groups in the past year as we have moved and been busy renovating our place one babystep at a time. We have had two girls over from Germany (they were our first surfers) and the brought a great atmosphere to the apartment. Miriam you guys are welcome back any time.
After them we had a group of American guys, but I was away on holiday during their stay, so my flatmates will have to tell you about them. All in all, so far it has been a great experience and I am looking forward to many more.

Interests

I love music, the ocean and Cape Town. I like cycling recreationally, longboarding and building things with my hands. Cooking. I love cooking. Food is a magical thing and sharing a great meal with someone even more so.

Music, Movies, and Books

This list will be way too long and is everchanging. Drop in for a visit and we can discuss everything over a cold beer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping throughout the whole of Namibia which is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Backpacking the Transei. The most breathtaking stretch of the South African Wild Coast.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like learning about exotic foods and insist that anyone who comes over for a few nights teach me to make something authentic to their roots and I shall return the favour. I can play the guitar and the bass guitar. Don't really know what else to mention, so ask away and let's see where it goes.
