About Me

Hi! I'm Paul and I'm currently living in Paris.

I first studied law at university and became a lawyer, but finally decided to learn something different and studied social sciences :-).

In general I'm a curious person and I'm keen on learning new things. It's particulary true for foreign culture, which I try to experience as much as I can when I go abroad. It makes me very enthusiastic when I travel!

I also love learning languages. I think it's the best way to meet new people and show my respect for the country I'm visiting. Other than French, I speak fluently English and learned Spanish at school. I currently aim at mastering Japanese and Russian. In the future I'd like to get familiar with German and Chinese.

I'm really fond of nature. Whenever it's possible I try to walk and hike (especially in the moutains) to clear my mind.

I've also played in a music band as a drummer for about 10 years. Thanks to that, I've been able to play around (and visit) France, Europe and Russia. I got the chance to meet a lot of people. So much fun! :)

I can't imagine travelling without sharing. I try as much as I can to share my own experience to my friends, guests and hosts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I try to meet new friends and experience as much as I can the culture of the country I'm visiting. I deeply think it's what makes travelling so enriching and unforgetable. To me Couchsurfing is the best way to do it!

Music, Movies, and Books

I often read. I like French litterature (Hugo, Zola, Dumas, Malraux...) and I've started to get more into Russian (Dostoievski, Boulgakov) and Japanese litterature (Kawabata, Mishima).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to teach French if you'd like to!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to hear my hosts talking about them and their country. If possible I'd really enjoy walking around town with them, grab a beer together or go to eat somewhere!

I'd also cook and as much as I can share my knowledge about it!

Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Macedonia, Myanmar, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
