About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am about to embark on a month long trip from SLC, to NY, to England. I could really use a place to stay. I am very excited to meet new and awesome people.

ABOUT ME

My roommate and I have been a host to several travelers via couchsurfing.org, and every one of them has been extremely nice. We've always had a really cool experience getting to know them, usually through a few beers.

I try to relate to all people on a very fundamental basis. Meaning I don't agree with all things, but I do think 80-90% of people have some sort of agreeable foundation with which to start some sort of comfortable acquaintanceship if not more.

I don't do racism, animal cruelty, or general dishonesty.

I used to work at The Green Tortoise Hostel in San Francisco. There, I met people from all over the world and fell in love with traveling and travelers alike.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a follower of the teachings of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus and Stoicism. I believe in being a man of men. I hide my emotions and try to remain strong in all things, but I'm not afraid to be compassionate and caring. I am passionate about life and being a good person. I do good things for the sake of being good. No reward is necessary or expected for the good things I try to do. I believe in living a life of service towards other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend Eric and I have lived together for 2 years, and in these years, we've had 3 travelers come stay with us. One Mrs. Erica Chang all the way from Taiwan. She ended up staying with us a lot longer than expected, but it was all good. We just hung out and went snowboarding and we tried to show her a good time around a city that if you don't know the area can be very boring.
I am going out on a limb and looking for someone that would be willing to do the same. I'm not asking for a personal tour guide, but someone that can point me in the right direction.

Interests

I am in a Doom-punk band in SLC called "Skyrim (the band)". I have many different tastes in music. I love Jazz, experimental weirdness, Punk, Alternative, Old time country, techno/house/dubstep, pop, you name it. I don't try to pretend like I know of every band, but music is definitely a passion in my life.
I skateboard, snowboard, bike, hike, hang out with my dog, and kill a lot of time on video games and movies.
Movies are kind of my forte' I can say that I've seen a wide variety of obscure films, and I love watching them, talking about them (but not during the film)
Darts, pool, and drinking tasty malted beverages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting my friends is the most awesome thing I've done so far. (This includes too much to say)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some cool things if you're interested. I would like to learn interesting things too. We can then share some oreos and milk. Unless you're vegan. Then we'll get some other snacks.
