CURRENT MISSION
Surving in San Diego Post-Europe Traveling
ABOUT ME
We both just graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with degrees in Philosophy and Literature, and before becoming slaves to the 9-5 work day for the rest of our lives to repay ceaseless loans, we have decided to embark on an epic, cheap journey through Europe.
PHILOSOPHY
CARPE DIEM!
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
-Margaret Mead
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We're both new to CouchSurfing, but have slept on plenty of friends couches and floors! We have friends that CouchSurfed and hosted and we're excited to try it ourselves.
Since our trip around Europe, we have only been hosted a few times but it has been amazing! Our faith in humanity is restored and we think everyone should try it at least once. We hope to host when we get back if we can.
Interests
Between the two of us, we enjoy reading anything from poetry to science, Harry Potter to Kant, or history to current events. If there were five items we could bring with us in the case of a natural disaster, a book would be one of them.
We drink coffee religiously and welcome wine like a familiar lover. Beer, tea, juice, water- If you put it in front of us, we will probably drink it.
Food. We love food. But who doesn't? We aren't picky eaters, nor are we allergic to anything (that we know of) and we are always up to try new dishes. There's nothing better than sharing and cooking good food with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Brooke jumped off a gigantic cliff into the ocean in Kauai, and Paul saw Dio in person...
Currently travelling through Europe with only our backpacks and no cell phones is definitely one of the most awesome things we have ever done.
WWOOFing in Pau, France on an organic farm with a wonderful French family :o)
Teach, Learn, Share
Brooke has surfed since she was four and has taught surf lessons and competed, and Paul has been playing drums since he was ten, taught drum lessons, and has won a few 'battle of the bands.'
We both enjoy learning/teaching, gaining new knowledge through trial and error- every day is an opportunity.
