About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Improving the regulatory framework so that ecologial and social sustainability also makes sense from an economic perspective.

ABOUT ME

I have been living in Hamburg for five years now and moved together with my girlfriend Laura, who partly studies dental medicine and works as an assitant doctor in maxillofacial surgery. Both of us enjoy our work but we also stay active in our free time by meeting friends, being outside or doing sports. We value respect, honesty and happyness. If you do, too, don't hesitate to send us a message :)

PHILOSOPHY

"You're never wrong to do the right thing."
- Mark Twain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We value Couchsurfing as an opportunity to get to know people and their culture from around the world. For us, it’s the unique way to really understand how people perceive the places they call home. While we mostly participated as surfers so far, we are now looking forward to welcoming surfers from around the world in our new home in Hamburg!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started with Couchsurfing back in the day when it was a new thing and fellow travelers would ask in surprise what was meant by it. I met a lot of interesting people around the globe that enriched the experiences I made while being abroad. In the last years, I started using it together with Laura and we had great times with lovely people on our trips through Europe and Indochina. On my last trip through Ukraine, Russia and China, the CSers I met greatly enriched my understanding of the societal differences between those countries and Germany.

Interests

We share interests in a wide variety of sports and music. While Laura likes plays classical cello and sings, I am more of a little rocker on the guitar. Together, we ride our gravel bikes and go skiing whenever we find the time to do so, but we both have our little hobbies that we follow on our own.

Apart from sports and music, we value spending time with friends and family by playing board games, eating out, or attending concerts or other shows. Obviously, we love traveling and are excited to now explore Europe in more detail :)
