About Me
CURRENT MISSION
There's something inside you that no dream can beat, life's happening now and there's no time to sleep.
ABOUT ME
Paul: In a few words: Thinker - "Die Toten Hosen" (German Punk-Rock band) - my guitar - my motorcycle - - family person - the one you can talk with about everything in a profound way - laughing excessively - ...and last but not least being happy with Judith.
Judith: I finally graduated from University. I enjoyed my student life very much, but it was time for another step - the world trip :)
As for my personality, I am very outgoing, I like speaking different languages and trying new food (you kinda have to when travelling). I am curious about other surfers' stories and willing to try something new in every country that I will be travelling to. I am cranky early in the morning, but after a tough overwhelming "getting-up"-sickness, I can make my day work with NUTELLA and a smile from Paul. And a good ice coffee. =)
Right now, we are travelling the world, having covered South Africa on the bike, China and most countries in South East Asia already. Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and California are yet to come!
As for the future, we will become teachers for languages (Judith) and sciences (Paul).
PHILOSOPHY
Paul: Smile and think positive :)
You'll never walk alone.
Judith: When you really want something to happen, the whole universe will conspire to make it happen (Paolo Coelho).
Love is not when you're looking at each other, but when you're looking into the same direction together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Judith first learned about CS when she travelled in South America. Her first experience in New York in 2008 was so great that she continued participating while hosting and surfing. Paul hadn't been involved actively in CS so far and is now having his first experiences. He got an inside from when Judith hosted surfers or was introduced to CS friends living in Heidelberg (this is her profile: Judith's profile). We now got a joint account since Paul also wants to participate and since we are both travelling together once around the globe and looking forward to being able to surf and attend some CS-events on the go.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Judith has already surfed, hosted and attended events in the last 3 years. We hope to surf some more in the more westernized countries, such as Australia, New Zealand and California on our trip.

Music, Movies, and Books
Judith: all Greg Iles novels, Paolo Coelho, good travel literature (still in search for that one).
Paul: Die Toten Hosen
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw a little kid smile and it reminded me how wonderful life is. The only thing is that we don't see this often.
Teach, Learn, Share
We learned a lot on this trip already, such as being patient, dealing with things differently than you would in Germany, don't think "German". Out of all of our experiences, we have a lot to share and also suggest to future travellers.
