About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I really like traveling and meeting new people; I think couch surfing would be a great way to do this.

ABOUT ME

Hi there,

My name is Paul. I'm down for just about anything and I'd consider myself to be a pretty ambitious person. I am originally from Madison, WI USA but have spent about 3.5 years of my life living, traveling and becoming educated in other countries. My biggest passion is sustainability and I received my MS from the University of Edinburgh in 06/07 in sustainable energy. I currently work for a wind energy company in Houston but in my freetime helped start Houston's first green housing cooperative! It's awesome! We've got a 3000 gallon rain water harvesting system that supplies our toilets, a veggie oil Mercedes and much more.

I also very much like free-skiing, real estate, Burning Man, entrepreneurship and spending time with cool people.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Awestruck moments..hmm, what a good question. One of the best was when I was on the southern shores of India and saw these massive waves (probably 15' high) crashing into the shoreline. I was awestruck at the amount of power that they carried. It was at that point that I decided to switch careers from computer science into renewable energy. I went back to school, got a MS, and never looked back :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
