About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I’ve been planting fruit and nut trees for the last 12 years and I now have what I would call an orchard. I love trees and I learn so much and get so much satisfaction from working with them. With the majority of the orchard work finished, I am turning my attention to my long held dream of creating a community home which will take the form of a monastery. My friends and I have been attempting to beget a new religion, (I say this with a sincere wink) we are not prophets so the process is going very slowly - we are hopeful non- the-less.
ABOUT ME
Easy Going guy with some interesting eccentricities. I love to dance Contact improvisation and would be very happy to teach anyone who wants to try it. I enjoy inspiring people to challenge their social and cultural norms in order to get at some deeper meaning. Free-spirited but with a touch of introversion that makes bordem impossible.
PHILOSOPHY
Thats what I'm working on. Is life meant for enjoyment or for social betterment? Can we do both in the most beautiful way? I am a very strong believer in living into my agency and capacity to change my world for the better with love and play.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far I have surfed only a few times in Ecuador, California and Washington State USA. I would love to host but my home is far from the cities so it’s not a popular spot.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven´t done much surfing, but my house has always been a community hub hosting local friends and visitors who need a respite.
Interests
Contact improv, Trees, Farming, Food, Solar Energy, Edible wild plants. I have been mostly travelling through wwoof but I like to visit the city too where wwoofing can't take you. I love to learn about trees, botany, horticulture, propogration of plants, photovoltaics and other solar energy. I also love to get some fun exercise. I have been seen running but I would rather be running from a bear or towards a ball. Same goes for swimming and such, I'd rather be swimming back from a cliff I just jumped off than just out for a swim.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have been reading a lot about religion recently- Taoism, Quakerism, religious philosophy, I even pursued a Mormon bible but found it lacking in substance.
I mostly listen to dance music and folk-indie-pop these days. Pan and Polo type stuff and remixes for dance, Bon Iver and the big thief type stuff for indie.
Music that I used to love but now I’m tired of: Animal Collective, Magic Man, Regina Spektor, Feist, Deer Hoof, National, Beach House, that type of thing.
Movies, the classics are great - favorite of all time has always been snatch.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While on a moped trip from Burlington VT to Connecicut I was forced one night to sleep on the side of a mountain in Keene valley NY. There was still snow on the ground and I had no tent. Silly me, I almost froze to death because I only had a small sleeping bag liner (this was years ago and I only updated to a real sleeping bag last summer)
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to play piano, practice clowning. find edible wild plants and mushrooms,
