Overview
About Me
I am Paula Penagos, I describe myself as an extroverted, social and adventurous person. I have been traveling alone and with friends since I was 16, I really like making friends wherever I go. I am very artistic and I studied music, I like to play many instruments.
My father is a mechanic and thanks to him I learned about cars; I studied automotive mechanics for a while but during the pandemic my life changed and I decided to study early childhood education.
I worked as a teacher in a kindergarten and that was when I discovered my true profession: Children! I did a year as an AuPair in the US (Nanny) and it was incredible, I improved and learned English doing what I like most, spending time with children. Now I am in my beloved country Colombia and soon I will do an exchange to China as a teacher.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is an important part of me, since I was 8 years old I have studied music, I played in multiple groups and my main instrument is the electric bass or double bass, being part of a symphony was a dream come true and although it is not my profession, Music will always be my great support. I am very open to different genres and my great influences are: Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, Los Kjarkas, Manus Baba, Julieta Venegas, Los Nocheros and many more. I love going to typical concerts in each country, city or town that I visit since most of our roots and history are found in music.
Movies: I love science fiction, thriller or horror. My favorite saga is Transformers and favorite movie Pacific Rim 1 (The soundtrack is the best of the above)
Books: I like science so I read a lot about it but my favorite book "De Buenaventura a la NASA"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I toured Mexico in 2021 with my mother for a month, it has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I learned about its incredible culture and I declare myself a Mexican Food lover. Mexicans opened their doors and I have never felt so protected and loved by people who don't even know me.
And the countries visited? Spain, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, United States, Dominican Republic in two weeks and China in a month!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a very curious person who likes to learn everything, I am a multitasker so every challenge is exciting for me. Do you want to teach me something? Go ahead, I am an excellent student and I am a good listener. I am a teacher so don't doubt that I can teach you about languages, music, science or cars, I love children so my teaching is focused "on everyone learning from love"
