About Me

Hi! Mi name is Paula, I'm 24 and I'm from Chile, in South America!

I finished my translation studies last year and now I'm living in France because I'm working as a Spanish teacher assistant.

I'm very calm and responsible, and very flexible when it comes to housing (I can sleep on the floor if there is not other option, hahaha).

I can also wash the dishes, but I don't really know how to cook. However, I can help with the cleaning! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since this is my first time in Europe, I would love to use all my free time to travel, specially because I have many vacations (french scholar vacations), yay!

I love museums, big parks and castles, so I'm very interested to see all those kind of places. Once in a while, I also enjoy going to bars and clubs.

My main goal is to enjoy this experience to the fullest, because I don't really know if I will have another opportunity like this to stay in this big continent for such a long time.

Interests

As I said before, I love museums and calm places, like parks. I also enjoy watching cartoons and some Netflix shows.

I like walking in big cities just to see different people and cultures and, of course, I love languages and I hope I can learn more in the future.

I like drawing and petting cute animals! <3

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love calm music (I don't if that's a music genre), but I'm very open to know different styles.

Movies:
- Studio Ghibli movies (being my favorites Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service and The Tale of Princess Kaguya)
- Pixar movies (my recent favorite is Inside Out).
- Old boy (the original Korean version)
- Hachiko :'(
- Paprika (and most Satoshi Kon's work)
- Children of Heaven

Books: I don't have a favorite book, but I love reading and writing haikus (I don't know if that counts). I also like Amy Tan's work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being here is really amazing, so I thinks this experience so far is the best thing I've done! And also finishing my studies, that was hard, hahaha.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know Spanish, English, Portuguese and French, so if you want to learn any of those language, I can teach you!

On the other hand, I would also love to learn any other language and cultures, specially how to cook some traditional specialities from your country!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share smiles and nice talks. Also, I'm very clean and I can help you with that. I have a great motivation in life, so I can share my energy and my spirit. Finally, as I said before, I can teach you some of the languages I know if you're interested.

I hope we can meet each other! :D
