About Me

Hi! I'm Paula and I'm a journalist specially interested in food and travel writing. My biggest passion in life is travelling and cooking so I try to make the best of it. I'm an introvert playing extrovert. I love listening to people's stories and enjoying their company. I love a good party and a nice long afternoon at a park.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking for a new alternative to staying in great places whilst meeting new people and hearing new stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into pretty much all kinds of music, I don't really like to judge people based on their music taste...that said I mostly listen to 80's power balads. I love music festivals and try to catch as many as possible. I probably spend most of my time watching movies...my all time favourite movies are The Virgin suicides ( I also love the book), The Breakfast club (and everything directed by John Hughes), 90's teen romcoms, Paolo Sorrentino, Wes Anderson, Sofía Coppola. My favourite authors are...Xavier Velasco, Jeffrey Eugenides, Gabriel García Marquez, J.K Rowling (Massive HP fan), Ray Bradbury, Julio Cortazar and Brian O'Malley...I'm currently reading Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman and i'm looooooving it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well...I won a school wide painting contest when I was in first grade.
I don't know, I think just being alive is pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm learning german and mark my words, I will succeed.
I can teach you basic mexican culture: food, food, food, complaining, drinking a tequila shot without a blink, food.
I'm truly a very open person, I love listening.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice home cooked mexican meal and a good pair of ears. Any help around the house, like cleaning, painting or fixing something broken. Also, if you let me I'd love to take your portrait with my analog camera and then send the picture to you once I've developed the film (:
