About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live. Laugh. Love. Learn.

ABOUT ME

Hola! I am an enthusiastic Argentinian who loves travelling and meeting new people, just like everyone in CS. My hometown is Buenos Aires, Argentina, but I've been to many places in my country.
I love languages, dancing, music and good food. I'd like people from all over the world to try our food, so that is why whenever I have the chance, I cook Argentinian dishes for everyone who is around.

I have a very busy life in Buenos Aires. That is why I am bored if I have nothing to do. I need to keep myself busy! I recently started doing exercise and I like it, especially the treadmill.

I have tons of friends at home. Many of them are into travelling, just like me. We organize short trips in BA and make the best of our time wherever we go.

One more thing? I looove listening to the radio and one of my ambitions is to have my own radio programme about travelling one day.

PHILOSOPHY

"It's all about LIVING" - Everyone has the right to live their lives the way they believe is best. I am grateful every day for anything I have and for the experiences that keep appearing on my way.
I believe that all the people we meet have an influence in our lives, some way or another. And also, that everything we do and everything we give, will eventually come back to us. So the better we give, the better we'll receive.
I think that tolerance, and respect are the fundamentals of any character. And an educated person is not the one who receives many degrees, but the one who learns from life and uses that learning to help others and themselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS a couple years ago. I became a member when I was in the US on a Fulbright grant. I had the opportunity to travel all around the country, especially during breaks.
As regards my life in BA, I cannot host right now because of space limitation, but I'm willing to participate in events and city tours with whoever needs company.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just surfed once with an amazing Couch Surfer. I also had lunch and visited a museum with the CS community in Boston. It was a great experience! I got to meet many people from everywhere in the world and ended up having a wonderful time.
Other Fulbright grantees have had great CS experiences, which led me to continue looking for CS opportunities.

Music, Movies, and Books

"The Motorcycle Diaries" is one of my favorite movies.

However, I'm more into sitcoms and I'm a freaky Friends fan. I even can tell some of the lines by heart... hahahaha!!

As regards music, I love Maná and the Brazilian singer Ivete Sangalo. But I listen to anything. When the price of concert tickets is affordable, I see anyone! I love live performances.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leave my home for a year to be a part of a Fulbright experience. Something that turned my head upside down was during a poster session at a Fulbright conference in Washington DC. I was in charge of preparing an Argentinian exhibition for 440 fellow Fulbright scholars. It was amazing when everyone approached our exhibits and tried our national food, took pictures with us or made questions about our sports culture. I would have never thought that my photo would appear somewhere in Oman, India, Colombia, the Phillipines or Russia! And this is to name a few. The fact that I got to know people with so many different cultures changed my way of thinking. There definitely was a 'before' and 'after' the Fulbright experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a native Spanish speaker, bilingual in English, intermediate in Portuguese and beginner in French. I'll be willing to exchange language practice with anyone, in person or via web.
I also like dancing! I do not consider myself a pro, but I could share my skills with anyone who's interested!
