About Me

Born in little country inhabited by only 1.8 million people - LATVIA. I have graduated as a professional journalist but haven't used my degree in a classical form of being one. I have worked for 2 years as a youth leader at the youth centre in a very small town and have always loved to help sustain and maintain community feeling around our little town.

Currently: searching for inner peace and trying to learn how to "let go" and "take it easy" (as for me it has always been a little bit too hard to take it easy).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I felt the urge to start an adventure. It started out with a sudden realization that I don't want to follow a path that is so common and so welcomed in our society, to graduate from university, to find a job, to fall in love, and to settle down. I have graduated from an university, I had a wonderful job for 2 years, but I wasn't ready to settle down (and also that par about falling in love didn't work out quite well). So I left my position at the youth centre and decided to go to U.S. for 82 days.

I wan to meet new people and to find more about the world through their viewpoints. I like to collect stories and other people experiences, and would love to use these stories as a inspiration and motive for my "traveling stories" as a side project for my little adventure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left my job that I really loved, because I was very close to burning out and I started to take care of myself more. I think of that as a very brave thing to do.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to play piano, or how to look at things from different perspective. I would love to do some crafts together and to encourage people to be more and appreciate small things in our lives.

I would like to learn how to "let go" and how to "take it easy", because for me it hasn't been that easy to take it easy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my thoughts, my ideas, my understanding of things and life. I can share food, a room and I can be a company for everyone in need. I can provide hosts with smiles and laughter, some musical tunes if necessary.

Countries I’ve Visited
