About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life and make others enjoy it, too:)

ABOUT ME

I am an open minded, social person who likes discovering new places and new people. Travelling is for me not only a escape from routine but it is also a way of learning new things, new ways of life, new points of view. I love speaking foreign languages, it is my passion, and if I could I would communicate with everyone in their own mother tongue. After living in England at the age of 15 and 17, my trip to discover the world started. I ended up moving to Finland in 2000 and have lived here ever since.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it is important to make your dreams come true as much as you can, to follow your path respecting others. I also believe each one of us must be responsible for our own acts, it's one way of making this world better, and something we can all do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I cannot couch anyone since I live in a shared house with other 5 people but I would love to help you out with anything I can, taking you around the city, chatting in a cosy cafe, giving tips...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CoachSurfing experience I have had was the New Year party held in Paris, 2008. There I met four Icelanders with whom I spent most of the night talking in the freezing cold night (at least for a Spaniard) in the street. I don't know where the hours went but I had a great time. If any of them reads this, thank you goldfish!
After that every time I have travelled and had the chance to surf someone's couch. Each time has been a positive experience. I haven't couched anyone yet but have given tips, showed the city and helped as much as possible.

Interests

I like travelling, meeting new people, being in contact with other cultures and points of view; I like reading, listening to music, going to concerts, to the cinema, etc. I love learning new things, keeping myself active. I also enjoy watching sports, especially football, tennis and ski jumping (don't ask me why a Spanish woman is interested in that, I don't know;-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mew, Kashmir, Sigur Ros, Band of Horses, Radiohead, Editors, U2, Jenny Wilson, Kent, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Interpol, and much more!

Books: right now I'm reading lots of books at the same time which it makes me to confuse and mix the stories but it's just that I have such a looong list of books I wanna read... I do recommend Carlos Ruiz Zafon's books, especially since the stories take place in my beloved Barcelona.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have practiced once avanto (dipping yourself in a whole made on a frozen lake) and it was amazing! If you have never tried, wecome to Finland to give it a go!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am sure I will learn a lot of things through CS, right now nothing comes to my mind that I could teach to others, I guess it depends on what each one needs to learn from others:)

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Japan, Martinique, Mexico, Sweden, Switzerland, United States
