I am an artist who is currently in school to become a licensed professional counselor and certified art therapist. My passion is to work with people from heavy trauma backgrounds, to help people find meaning and purpose in their life, and to bring an element of hope into their lives. I mainly enjoy working with children, but currently work with adult offenders who have just left the prison system. I am an avid traveler, though as I get older it becomes harder to get out there and leave all my responsibilities behind. I thoroughly enjoy meeting strangers, and building from them--sometimes lifelong friendships!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love meeting new people and making them feel welcome, and I love making feeling welcome in other people's homes....I've hosted people before and have slept on many couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love the relationships built from my previous couchsurfing experiences, and all memories stay with me forever. I have hiked along five lands to sleep in a castletower. I have feasted and fasted. I have gotten extremely drunk from beer and love and even music..and I have risen early in the morning for a full day bike ride awaiting me on a beautiful island. I have mooned children, run away from snakes, learned about mushrooms, eaten individual cakes for lunch and dinner, and gotten breakfast and a massage in bed all in one day. I have toured cities in vespas and by foot switching from language to language. I have just begun my exploration and love this community with all my heart.

Intereses

smiles, well constructed words, the ocean and everything that has to do with the ocean, the sea, a flowing river, sea flowers, the sun and it's beautiful colors..any body of water, any body...hugs, warmth (people and weather),painting with my fingers, happy people, cerveza, big boulders to climb on, the reward of food after long gruesome hikes, sugar, white, milk, and dark, blue red purple and all colors and types of chocolate and people, drinks that have lime in it, exaggerated stories, photographs, paint, the human body, painting on the human body, thoughts, poetry and fictional stories, feathers, the beach, hotsprings, my family is pretty interesting and I love my mom, nutshells, stepping in puddles with rain-boots on, soft grass, water is great, art, a full moon, mellow moods with mellow music and mellow people, and I guess crazy people also fascinate me. I love art therapy, and music being so loud it moves your body for you, dancing as if you are from the stone ages, and trying to imitate noises that are impossible to make with your mouth (such as the jingle shaking iced water makes against a plastic cup). Laughter and hugging strangers.
