About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get the real World Experience!

ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Paula :) I lived in Australia for about a year and now I came back to Buenos Aires (Argentina) for a few months. I'm preparing myself for my next adventure down under!

As I said, at the moment I'm in Buenos Aires and I'd like to explore the city as a traveler. I've seen it so many times before that it's good to rediscover your city with different eyes after not being here for a while. So if you're interested in exploring the city with a local just let me know :)

I like meeting new people of different parts of the world and to practise languages. I learn a lot of things by talking to other people and I think the same thing also happens in reverse. I think one of the best ways to get to the other's culture is through language and contact, that's why I am interested in Couch Surfing.. To have the experience of being with local people! Making a tour is good, but doesn't let me get immersed on "the real thing".. and that's the interesting part I think :)

As an extra detail I can tell you that I like asian culture and I'm learning Japanese and Korean!

PHILOSOPHY

Learn. Share. Help. Laugh. Travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to know not only the city but the people who lives there. As a person who is interested in social stuff, I like to know different ways of thinking and cultures. (I don't analyze anyone, I swear! hahaha but is a part that I find pretty interesting)

Interests

I love music, photography and I like to contemplate good pieces of art, even though can not draw even a stickman properly lol! I love to take long walks and taking pictures, and singing. I love to sing! I used to sing in a choir but that good ol' days had gone. (I don't have time for it hahaha)

Music, Movies, and Books

This is so hard, I can't choose!!! I love books, specially if they're long. And I love all kinds of music, I can't live without music! recently I'm going through a Gaelic Folk phase, but mostly of the time i'm into kpop. And I don't watch a lot of movies, but I like comedy if you want to know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me to speak with someone in their native language while in Argentina it feels like magic. I love the warm feeling that it generates and the happiness of the other person to feel the relief of not having to struggle with a language that maybe doesn't understand well. That's one of the reasons of learning languages for me, I learn because I like magic :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to drink mate, hahaha and how to make some cocktails!
I would like to learn some sayings in your language!
I'd love to share a good conversation and a laugh :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a little bit shy at the beggining, but once I start gaining confidence I talk a lot! If you like to drink I can make some cocktails (I took the bartender course!) and I can cook a simple but amazing desert, a family specialty , but you will have to receive me in your home to tell you what it is :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Chile, France, Netherlands, Paraguay, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
