About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and experience what life has to offer!

ABOUT ME

Hi there!
I view myself as an easy going and friendly guy who is always up for something new and is interested in meeting people from all walks of life!
Over the last few years I've travelled throughout Europe and parts of Asia.
Probably what really sparked my love of travelling and meeting new people was when I went to Europe for 5 months in 2013 with my twin sister. It was really an unforgettable experience and I can't wait to see more.

I love any physical activity, be it cycling, swimming or frisbee. The main sport I play during the Aussie summer is water polo.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is a huge place full of interesting places and intriguing people to meet. It was only until I spent an extended time travelling that I'm beginning to grasp the enormity of it. I know it's almost impossible to see everything this world has to offer but I'm going to damn well try! I definitely feel that by experiencing other cultures and encountering different personal views that I've been able to better understand myself and the world we live in today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a few times now with hopefully more in the future and I've surfed a couple of times in Europe. All of which were great experiences.
The reason I joined CS originally is because I've heard of some amazing stories and encounter, and now that I've had some of those experiences myself I can't wait to meet more like minded people and share more great memories!

Interests

I love meeting new people, cooking (even though I'm not that great haha) and learning new things.

Languages fascinate me, I always try to learn small bits of the local language of wherever I am! Currently I'm trying to learn Italian and German, and hopefully more in the future.

I love the ocean, it's my life. I've lived by it all my life and go to the beach all year round. Being outdoors and exploring is another passion of mine, so of my best memories have been whilst hiking, camping and cliff jumping.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to most music, depending on the occasion. A bit of Psytrance, maybe some Jazz or Spanish guitar when I'm relaxing, Paul Simon or Pink FLoyd to get me reflective about life. Variety is key for me.

As for movies, anything by Quentin Tarantino is gold. Good Bye Lenin, Inception, Law Abiding Citizen and Interstellar are just a few other movies that stand out to me.

I read different genres of books, from crime to sci-fi to bibliographies. A great book I've recently finished is 'A Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to limit it to one, but my 5 months in Europe was awesome as it sparked my passion for travel. We saw and experienced so many amazing cities, Berlin, Budapest and London to name just a few! Also the people we met along the way were great, all of them from different walks of life but brought together by a lust of adventure.
Another one would be going to South Korea with water polo, such an amazing, different culture with some interesting culinary tastes! Jellyfish was surprisingly delicious haha
More recently, I spent an amazing couple of nights camping on the beach with a couple of mates near a place called Jurien Bay. The weather was great, the company was awesome and the memories unforgettable!

Teach, Learn, Share

I wouldn't say I have a particular skill that's unique, but I'm very eager to learn new things! What I would love to improve is my cooking skills so if you're game enough I'd be more than happy to try and cook for you haha
Learning to dance the salsa properly would be amazing as I love to dance, especially with a partner.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've always got a delicious packet of tim tams on me, so I'd love to share them with you!
I also would be able to share my enthusiasm for meeting different people and new experiences.
