About Me

I'm a fun adventurer eager to experience different parts of the world through music, art, food, and sharing stories with new friends. I'm a single dad who travels alone sometimes and sometimes with my daughters, now age 15 and 12. At home, we live a charming life in a house made from recycled materials on a 14 acre apple orchard on the North Fork River in Paonia, Colorado, a fertile valley gateway to the majestic Rocky Mountains. We grow gardens of vegetables and care for an old apple orchard. I also host a 2 day community harvest gathering in early October called "COHERE" (www.coheregathering.com). I organize ancestral skills workshops and host a variety of dynamic live music acts along with art, games, food, yoga, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel the world like most people, but I don't want to be just a tourist. I'd rather make friends, listen to the language, learn the dances, breathe the spirit of the culture and make new friends, (who just might visit me someday in Colorado). CS is just a useful tool to help that process along. I also like to meet other travelers, to hear their stories, to appreciate and savor the nuance and beauty of our human family.
