About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to meet people from different walks of life, hopefully I'll get to spend time with some interesting new people and have some fun showing my city to them My city was Dublin but I moved to Guangzhou so now I'm basically a tourist living in China.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've got an apartment in Guangzhou. I used to host people in my hometown (Dublin, Ireland) and would be open to hanging out with people in Guangzhou. I've got a spare room too if someone needs a place to stay for a night or two.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love films, my favourite films are things like Oldboy, Pulp Fiction, LoTR trilogy, the Before trilogy, Schindlers List, Zoolander, Eternal Sunshine, Trainspotting, Intouchables. Loads more but the list will get long and silly. If you like films, we'll definitely be able to chat about that!

Music is also something I am big into, I like electro, particularly lots of deep house at the moment, artists like Maya Jane Coles. I loved Radiohead, Muse, Interpol and The Strokes and those kinds of bands growing up and I still do. Also big fan of old school hip hop and soul. Also love all the 80s rock like Talking Heads, The Cure, Bowie, etc.

TV shows I love - Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, The Sopranos, Arrested Development, The Office (UK).

I've been reading Sherlock Holmes short stories lately and they're brilliant. Also enjoyed The Great Gatsby, 1984, A Brave New World. Ender's Game is my favourite of all so I guess sci-fi books are the ones I like the most although I don't read as much as I used to these days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience in my life was the 4 months I lived in Israel as a volunteer on a kibbutz. It was an amazing experience living with other volunteers from all around the world and making great friendships with many of them. I would highly recommend doing the kibbutz volunteer programme.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm working as an English teacher in a private school so I can possibly help people non-native speakers with their English skills.

Countries I’ve Visited
