ABOUT ME

Now that I am staying in Antwerp for a few years, I can expand my horizons a bit. I have really been enjoying meeting other CS'ers who are open, friendly and have been a great help to me, the New Kid in town.

PHILOSOPHY

I am here to learn, to share what I have learned with those who are interested, so see and experience life in this part of the world. Not just as an American on holiday, but as a resident and local tourist.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been able to join groups to take day trips around Belgium, regular bar meetings where conversations ranged from deep and serious to uproariously funny and several nice dinners, including a large Thanksgiving Day meal where I prepared one of the turkeys (there were LOTS of people there).

兴趣

Bike touring, walking/sightseeing, exploring whatever parts of the world I can get to - even moreso when I have a companion. When I have the opportunity, I love to build furniture (or occasionally houses) and repair tractors or older cars.

Movies: Princess Bride, Airplane (the first), Hitch
Books: Sherlock Holmes (all of Conan-Doyle's originals), New Yorker and Newsweek magazines. Also a wide variety of technical journals (please try not to yawn)
