About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To boldly go where, I suppose other people may or may not have gone before.

ABOUT ME

As mentioned, I am an archaeologist. Less the digging kind, more the public perception kind. I am rather conversational and outgoing. Always up for a new experience and some good conversation - either just a laugh, or high-brow (or a blend of the two, I'm adaptable).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am one of those people afflicted with wanderlust. I like to travel around as much as possible, and meet new people along the way. Due to my sometimes nomadic nature, I can't always host people, but I am always keen to show people around if we can meet up.

Interests

I'm interested in visiting cultural spots, and engaging with any place I'm in as organically as possible.

I read, write, you know the usual. Always in for a good pub, or great food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm all about horror, drama, fantasy, and sci-fi.

Musically, I am really pretty adaptable. I like a great deal of music, from swing, to salsa, to folk metal.

My reading tends to be non-fiction. I read about the past, and my discipline in general. Outside of that, I do find a good fantasy novel, or horror story every now and again. I also read old stories (>800 years old).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I may or may not have licked numerous World Heritage sites.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am more than happy to talk about anything having to do with the past and archaeology. Really, it's kind of exactly what I am trained to do (and love the hell out of doing).
I would frankly like to learn about so many things, I wouldn't even know where to begin. I'm really one of those people who can't help but wanting to know something about everything. A veritable Renaissance Man, if we wanted to be pretentious.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Nicaragua, United Kingdom, United States
