About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is great when you're free to look for yourself, even if you don't make any money :-)

ABOUT ME

Je suis un ex-scientifique qui ne ressemble pas dutout à ce qu'on imagine être un scientifique.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know. I'm in transition right now and I got the luxury to have time to look for myself, what are my values and what is important for me. I will let you know when I figure it out.

I guess the part of the answer that I already know is that I want to be a good man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A quarter of my CS friends are people I hosted, a quarter people I surfed to and the last half are people I made join CS.

CS is really about an exchange where both sides (should) win.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't surfed or hosted in a while... Thime to fix that!

Interests

Le voyage, la politique et le monde des affaires.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a TV anymore, but I sure watch it on the internet. I love BBC'S Top Gear show, even if I'm not car fan. I like the Daily Show and the Quebec equivalent. I like repertoir movies, but when I actually watch one movie, it's usually for simple entertainment. Go watch Quebecois movies. They are really good!

I have readings for fun and readings to learn. I like self-improvement books, politics and biographies. I also like to read theatre, travel stories, novels, ect. I don't read as much as I would like... The Economist magazine is my favorite reading.

I love Brothers, by the Black Keys. Quebecois music. Ect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best experience was in North Vietnam when I did a 4 days round-trip in motorbike from Sapa to Diem Biem Phu. I didn't meet any tourists, saw the bests sceneries of my life and met many locals in the cities midway I slept in. My overall motorbike experience in South-East Asia is the best thing I ever lived.

The 16 hours night train in India in the general couch section was also quite something...

I guess the Ph.D. too was quite something. So glad it's over!! :-D

Teach, Learn, Share

I sure like to talk about everything mentionned above. I like to talk too about what I did in my previous life: string theory and physics.

I think best conversations are often about what me or the other person is passionnate about and when the interest is mutual. I love to learn about what other are passionate about.

Countries I’ve Visited

Egypt, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Lebanon, Mexico, Switzerland, Syrian Arab Republic, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
