HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

as a guy who loves to travel extensively and seeing the world on a bicycle, i can't wait to make new friends, and give back to the the CS Project, more than i take...i have hosted CSerS from singapore,russia, and france...also i have surfed in the netherlands by 5 different friends, and have had the pleasure of couchsurfing in england, scotland, switzerland, france, israel, italy and many other countries.
I feel it important to reciprocate ...all I ask is you write me a thoughtful request and have hosted at least once, if not more, and I will share my home with you.

After a few years of surfing I can truly state that my CS experiences as both a host and hostee have been wonderful....i couldnt think of a better way to make the world smaller and tilt towards world peace

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

its now towards the final days of 2019 and i can say that all my couch surfing experiences were superb...the people i surfed with couldn't have been more kind, more friendly and more helpful....they enabled me to see their country thru their eyes...they have also raised the bar for me when i host, but now i have their example to serve as a template...and of course, the privilege of hosting couchsurfers is truly appreciated...

Most importantly, i have had the opportunity to make new friends that i would have never had if i had not couch surfed..please write the word hodoman within your request...the best experience i can mention is the warm support i received from my couch-surfing friends in Italy, after my fiancee died accidentally. friends i knew for over 50 years were never so compassionate....

Furthermore, the friendships I have made are priceless....my European friends have flown to meet me to celebrate my birthday, three different times...i am so grateful!

Interests

i have found out that life begins at 50, if it hasnt begun earlier: since i turned 50, i have finally found the time to nourish the creative and adventurous side of myself...once i turned 50, i learned to ski, learned to play the piano (still learning), joined an acapella ensemble, joined a 100 person musical group-both have performed in major venues...i have started acting in community theatre....first drama, then comedy, and now i am in "Hello Dolly" a musical-comedy....this only affirms that we are best served when we become "no limits" people

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in the 70s my employer would have paid for my mba had i taken it in taxation...however i saw the world was getting smaller and i wanted to travel on corporate expense accounts so i paid for and earned my mba in international business and finance...sure enough a major Pharmaceutical company hired me as an international finance mgr and thus i travelled to all 6continents-first class air (when airplane travel was fantastic), first class hotels, first class meals, but most of all the privilege of working alongside the citizens of the country i was visiting-and having them welcome me to their world-and see things thru their eyes on the weekends

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach everyone i meet a very nice technique that will help those who sell or counsel to exceed their expectations...namely, i would love to teach the CS folks i meet, how to write upside down...imagine you are sitting opposite someone at a desk, and you start talking and then emphasize what you have said by writing upside down....in this manner u immediately appeal to 2 of our 6 senses, thus geometrically improving your listener's comprehension vs just speaking
