About Me
Hi all! I'm a psychology student living in the netherlands who enjoys meeting people from all over the world (which is of course why i'm here!) Whenever it's even remotely good weather i like to go outside to a park (i'm the one who always spots the cute dogs running around) or even for a hike in different nature paths when possible. I also like meeting up with people for a coffee and end up talking about the most random things ever. And i'm always just kind of looking around - for beautiful buildings, interesting people... Anything that can be inspiring!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of the most important parts of traveling to me is the ability to experience the given culture from locals' perspective. I think sharing accomodation with a local is a great opportunity for both to learn about different ways of living and gain perspective on different aspects of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once a homeless man asked me money in France. I didn't have any coins to spare which often makes the person asking upset in that situation. Instead he just smiled at me and gave a kiss on my cheek, then continued his day. His way of being that positive on that moment really impressed me and i'll probably always remember it. Me on the other hand try to live as sustainably as i can so for example i follow a vegan lifestyle and normally try to choose a product at a store with less plastic packaging etc. when possible. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very happy to accomodate to the host's lifestyle the best i can (e.g. basic household tasks, pet sitting if needed). I'm also a super good listener so i'm definitely interested to hear your whole life story if you just want to share. We finns also have this thing called "comfortable silence", as in it's not necessarily awkward to be quiet in the other's company but also nice. So you can be as chatty or not chatty as you like and i'm totally fine with that! Also very happy to share my knowledge of finnish and dutch culture (i always remember very random things like the story above!) I can also maybe bake and cook typical dishes from my culture.
