My name is Pauline and I'm a 27.

I work as a waitress in mountain restaurants in the Alps in France. I work when others are on holidays, skiing during winter and enjoying mountains and nature during summer.

It wasn’t exactly my life project. I studied journalism in the North of France where I was born. I have started a little career as a video-journalist but I quickly stopped, a bit disappointed by the profession.
So I decided to get some fresh air and see other landscapes. I chose to join my boyfriend in a small village lost in the mountains. It’s called Manigod. I took my lovely dog named Joe with me (we never separate!) and stayed there for a year and a half. I learnt snowboard, I hiked and met so much people.
It was awesome.

Now, once again, I want to see other things and live new experiences. I organized a road-trip in USA. It’s like an initiatory trip before starting a new job somewhere in France. It’s based on my childhood-dream of the American west. I want to meet a lot of people and see so many things.
I hope I will find what I want to do. I already got some ideas: I want to work outdoor and with animals and help people.

I love my family and my little sister, Marine, my friends, my boyfriend. I love going out for a beer or a coffee. I love movies, books and shopping (second-hand shopping).

I really love animals and especially dogs. It’s a kind of passion!

I run quite often and I have recently started skateboard.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don’t know why I have not been on couchsurfing before!

I have heard a lot about it without really caring. Recently, I have decided to create a profile and now, I am fond of it.

For me, It’s exactly the idea of traveling: sharing and meeting people. It’s so much more interesting to include people in your travel than just see landscapes and visit museums.
I think you can only discover a town or a country if you live like a local. And this is what I want to do!

This is why I registered on couchsurfing and I think I will spend a lot of time on it!
