About Me

I love traveling and meeting new people -- which is what has brought me to CS. Most of the times I would stay in hostels, and my favorite part was meeting new people in the living room or cooking with people from all over the world. I love walking around in new cities and I've come to love not understanding the language that I'm surrounded with. I can eat anything, sleep anytime and drink anything. I'm honestly very flexible and I can adapt to whatever I'm exposed to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new here! I know this may be a reason for some people to reject me, but I honestly want to get to form a part of this community. My recent experiences taught me that meeting people that have a finite presence in my life is what really keeps me alive. Being exposed to so many cultures and people from different origins has really made me grow and learn that there's nothing better that meeting someone new and getting to know them.

Interests

I love music, listening to it, singing, dancing, being surrounded by it. I love eating, drinking coffee, watching movies, reading. Walking.

I hate describing myself like this because I sound extremely average, so I'll try to say important stuff that is maybe unrelated:
-For some reason, I am very interested in the origins of words.
-I'm addicted to TV series -from GoT to Top Chef to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to Bob's Burgers to Arrested Development...
-Insect bites give me strong allergies that sometimes cause my face to swell up, which makes me stressed out. I've heard this is very funny to watch.
-My thumbs are very flexible.
-I LOVE documentaries.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music is very diverse: Florence and the Machine, Pearl Jam, the xx, Chromeo, Soda Stereo, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, Lila Downs, Rodrigo y Gabriela... I don't want to keep writing because I won't stop and this will get boring.

I LIED- I'll keep writing because I forgot to mention Passion Pit, Alt-J, Foals, The Cure, The Smiths, Eminem, Kanye, Keane, The Killers, Broken Bells, Belle and Sebastian, any soundrack from any movie where Michael Cera appears, Phoenix, Angel Haze, Beyoncé, John Butler Trio, Kakkmaddafakka, Zoé...

My absolute favorite book is The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Kundera), but not by itself.. I believe it should be accompanied by a reading of Cortázar's La Flor Amarilla.
But that's just my opinion.

Movies are hard to choose. I'll try later.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped a total of 7km of waterfalls in Matacanes - NL, the highest jump I did was 12m high.

I have a picture with John Travolta?

I don't know... I like to think I've done more than one amazing thing but I can't think of any right now.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can do some weird thing with my fingers and a rubber band.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I'm funny. I can make really nice french toast and I have some microwave hacks you'll never forget.

I'm generally the one that provides the stupid idea and encourages everyone to follow it.
