Hey,
my name is Paulina and I am studiying mechanical engineering in Magdeburg. But at the moment I am doing an internship back home in Berlin. I am 23 years old and I guess I would descibe myself as curious, interested and open minded. I am always up for activities and for trying new things.
Last semester I did an Erasmus in France and when I was in school I spent one year in Turkey and lived there in a host family. That was pretty interesting! Unfortunatly I already forgot all my turkish.. But my french is pretty okay.
I already travelled a lot in Europe. Now, I am going for the first time to South America and I am super excited!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my teenage years my family hosted regulary people from all over the world and I also got often the possibility to stay over in appartments of friends or friends of friends. I really enjoyed the cultural exchanges and the conversations with all the amazing people I met. I would like to continue that way of travelling and later offer my couch to travellers, as soon as I have my own appartment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two summers ago I wanted to go hiking for several days, but after the 4th day my knee started to hurt, so I could not continue and I had to break up my holidays. On my way back, especially in the hostels and between the hikers I met soo many lovely and helpful people - in the hostels people were caring about me, someone prayed for the health of my knee, others offered me all the medicaments they had and were cooking for me, and friends of firends offert me their couches. I needed one week for my retour and when I arrived in Berlin I was deeply touched by all this care and that experiance.
