About Me

MY CURRENT SITUATION
Soon I will be moving to Málaga, Spain where I will be living for at least a year. So my couch will be available very soon :) Can't wait!!!

CURRENT MISSION

Explore my own spirituality and potential. Enjoy the spirit and wisdom of others.

ABOUT ME

Hi! First of all, I am honored you're taking your time to read my profile :) I'm from Poland, but I haven't lived in my country much for the last 10 years. Languages and communication are my passion. I like to dig and think deeper but that doesn't mean I am all about intellectual talks. Actually, I am quite easy-going, I love living the moment to the fullest and sharing them with others. So I gravitate towards authentic and thoughtful people. Also, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, meeting new people, exchanging experiences and interests, and just having a lot of fun and interesting conversations with them.

PHILOSOPHY

The only constant in life is change. So might as well enjoy the moment while it lasts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I don't have much experience in hosting people, but I will definitely change that this year. I have hosted guests with my flatmates in Sevilla and Murcia, Spain, and surfed in Morocco, Croatia, and Vietnam. After 3 years of living and working in Vietnam, and one year of "covid break" in Poland, now I am moving to Málaga, Spain for at least a year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Five years ago I met three absolutely crazy and lovely guys from the US during their 3-month backpacking travel through Europe who introduced me to the idea of Couchsurfing. Since then I have hosted with my roommates in Sevilla and surfed with my friend around Croatia. Currently, I am preparing for a big road trip from Poland to Spain.

Music, Movies, and Books

I truly love all the movies directed by Miyazaki (Spirited away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's moving castle, etc.) and Wes Anderson (Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, Darjeeling Limited, Grand Budapest Hotel, etc.). I like European Cinema and enjoy participating in film festivals.
And I love American shows! (Game of Thrones, Dexter, House M.D., Seinfield)

My taste in music is quite eclectic so it will be much easier to mention a couple of my favorite artists:
James Blake, MGMT, Beat Connection, Bibio, Kid Cudi, Twin Shadow, Purity Ring, Little Dragon, RHCP, Muse, David Bowie, Metronomy, Groove Armada, Portico Quartet, The Black Keys, Voo Voo, Waglewski, Massive Attack, Gorillaz, Dave Matthews Band, Led Zeppelin, etc.

I love the classics of the XXth-century novel: Faulkner, Fitzgerald, Nabokov, Heller, Kafka, Schulz, Huxley, Orwell, Camus, Cortazar, Muñoz Molina, Mendoza, García Márquez, Kapuciński, Iwaszkiewicz, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitch-hiked all the way from Poland to Croatia and spent there one of the most spontaneous and crazy moments in my life with my hosts and people who gave me rides. After that experience, I know for sure that Couchsurfing and hitchhiking is easily the best way to travel for me :)

I've suffered from an acute form of an autoimmune disease (supposedly uncurable). However, last year I met some amazing people who introduced me to self-healing techniques and opened my eyes to a completely different dimension of life. Now I am healthy and strong and I want to share my experience with others.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a language teacher (quite a good one too ;) so I will be more than happy to practice any of the languages I speak with you.

I have the second level of Reiki, an art of natural healing, so if you are open to it I can give you some treatment or just share my journey with natural self-healing through energy, herbs, and mindfulness.

I love Kundalini yoga, so maybe if you'd like to try it, maybe we can practice it together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My passion for languages, my enthusiasm for life, my cooking skills (I make some mean Polish potato fried cakes), and my self-healing and mind-expanding techniques. (P.S. you don't need magic mushrooms or any substance to have that kind of experience).
