About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living simply so that others may simply live.

ABOUT ME

I am currently in the process of figuring out what I'm going to do with my life but in the mean time I like to spend it traveling, working to travel, and on meaningful things that can help make this crazy, wonderful world we are living in better. I'd like to be good at many things and figure out a way to support myself :) I am really interested in just about anyone and the story they have to share.

I've been traveling a lot lately so I can't really host but would love to meet up if I am in town!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything has its time and its place. There's no use in rushing if we're all going to get there at the same time. Respect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed internationally through Spain, Portugal, and England. I'm mostly hosting now in Chicago whenever I get the chance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far it`s been so exciting to have to accomodate 3 people in a small living room...having an amazing vegetarian dinner by a gentle giant...hung out with the english in liverpool & free entertainment in london! In Porto, Portugal a kind man came to our rescue and took us in at the very last minute and turned into a great host in Lisboa!

Interests

I enjoy practicing acroyoga, being a curious vegan, exploring Chicago coffeeshops, my local library, reclaiming public spaces, potlucks, people of the global majority, and talking to strangers.

I´m also interested in people who are doing something meaningful in their community, organizing for change, and passionate about their work.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of Miles Davis, Madeleine Peyroux, Enigma, & Iron and Wine, and my dad's entire music collection.

Closer, The Business of Being Born, Food Inc, and a handful of other documentaries.

Iron & Wine, Madeleine Peyroux, Norah Jones, Bebel Gilberto, Miles Davis, Nick Drake, & most putumayo albums.

Eating Animals, The Tao of Pooh, books about nutrition, Oh! and Raj Patel's Stuffed and Starved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went sledding down a mountain in Switzerland once, took an incredibly spontaneous trip with friends in Seville (wore the same clothes for 5 days & enjoyed each other's filthy presence), went skydiving in Madrid, climbed up a very high flight of stairs atop a Mayan temple, & fell in love with strangers through couchsurfing and hope to continue to do so...

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn anything you have to share or teach. I'm a pretty good cook and an above average vegan baker, so I can share some of those skills. We can also do a language exchange.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bahamas, Cambodia, China, France, Germany, Guatemala, Haiti, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam
