Hi there !

I am a French student who likes to travel. I went mostly to European countries, and I went to the United States once. I like to travel because you can meet so many different people and discover different ways of living. I love walking in cities, just walking and discover amazing places which are not listed in travel books.

I am currently studying Political Science, on my way to get a PhD (or, at least trying to). I'm working on elected people with a gender perspective, something I'm really interested in. This PhD is taking me much of my time, but sometimes, I decide to take it out of my head and go to see a good movie (or not, I'm not always picking the good one), to drink beer with friends, to read and sometimes, when I need to really not think about it, I'm travelling.

I love meeting people and asked them a lot of questions (sometimes, I'm afraid to be too intrusive!!). Plus, I take the train very often, and I like waiting in train stations because you see so many different people and I like to imagine what their life could be. Time goes faster this way!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that travelling is not just about discovering places, it's also about discovering new cultures and ways of life, and people who practicing it. I think that Couchsurfing is a really nice way to enjoy all aspects of travelling.

I'm not a fan of going into every museum in a city, I want to see how people live in a new place I go, because it is the best way to really discover it. I want to go in places where the locals go, not some place made for tourists. And sometimes, it's hard to find when you don't know anything about the place you are. So what's best to get tips from a local, and maybe discovering place with him/her??

Interests

I love watching movies (to the theatre when I can). I can watch a lot of different movies, Marvel's blockbusters to Woody Allen's movies and independent movies.
I love TV shows (Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Insecure, Peaky Blinders ...). There are too many TV shows I want to watch but not enough time to watch all of them!!

I also love reading books, with a big cup of tea. And, because I also love breathing fresh air, I love hanging out with friends and travelling of course!

I've been practicing dance since I was a kid, and I'm still doing it. It's really a moment when I can't think of anything else but my body and it's quite relaxing. I also love dancing at night, with good friends and good music !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not bad at cooking, especially pies :) And of course, as a Breton girl, I can cook crepes (but I'm sorry, I don't how to do salted crepes ("galette" in French)).
