About Me

I was born in the Philippines and moved to California, USA when I was 5. In my young adolescent life I've moved houses, had to re-adjust to a new living situation, made, loved and had to leave many friends due to jumping around from city to city within Northern CA.
All those impactful changes and temporary places were the beginnings of me realizing that there's a whole world out there--an array of lifestyles and cultures and people trotting the globe all at once.

I am the first in my family to go to university in the states. Itching to experience anew, yet not wanting to stray too far from them, so I went as far as our hearts and wallets could allow: San Diego, CA.

I am currently a 3rd year communication major and creative writing minor at San Diego State University, which has blessed me with the irreplaceable, life-altering opportunity to study abroad in Rotterdam, Netherlands for the whole year.

Rotterdam is a hidden gem for those that don't know, and treasure for those who've had the pleasure of experiencing its unique, vibrant, darling personality. It is open and welcoming; every inch and stretch of it has much to offer individuals from all over the world.
Being a city bombed in WW2, it has had the opportunity to rebuild and recreate itself into something worth not only seeing and being, but feeling, with.
It has inspired me to do the same for myself and with others.
I will be here until the end of Summer, hoping to share this lovely city with as many as I can, as well as discover the gems located in other countries throughout Europe as well (hopefully thanks to you and your couch😊🦋)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessed the Iceland sky blaze up in Aurora Borealis 3 out of the 5 nights we've stayed there (all unintentional sightings, but still incredibly grateful).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I acknowledge all the energy and rearrangements that go into hosting others, and am so very willing to help clean and tidy around your place.
I actually really love organizing and cleaning, and would be sure to respect your home and live to what standards you desire.
I also have a newfound love for cooking since my transition into being a plant-based eater early this year! I'd be willing to share meals, perspectives, experiences, and stories on top of (hopefully) memorable belly-grabbing, knee-slapping laughs.
