About Me

*Will be in Nepal, South Korea and Japan until September.

I grew up in Portland, Oregon and Berlin, Germany and ping ponged my way between the two growing up. After that I traveled around SE Asia for half a year and now am living in Glasgow, Scotland while studying sociology. Throughout all of this I have grown a deep passion for traveling near and far. I love meeting people from places I never even knew existed and hearing stories from all sorts of folks. Also through my travels I have grown a big interest in permaculture and find myself helping out at farms during my longer holidays.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music--I'm a big fan of live music of all sorts and have recently been listening to jazz, rock, alternative, Alabama Shakes and some techno

Books--As far as books go I'm a big Malcolm Gladwell fan and tend to read a lot of non-fiction, currently I'm reading a Murukami book and am enjoying the intercacies and curiousity of his writing.

Movies--On the movie front I'd have to say it's a tie between Boyhood and School of Rock although I find myself leaning towards documentaries a lot (especially any rock climbing films).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Followed a map written on the back of a cake box in Myanmar for a week, it has been my best navigation form yet.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can help with English and German, as well as introduce you to some good vegetarian meals:) I'm also studying a large breadth of things currently from the history of the Internet to spirit possession in Sudan I'm sure we can find some weird quirky topic anywhere in between. I can also fill you in on some sweet swimming holes in the Pacific Northwest if that may be of any assistance.

Would love any opportunity to improve my Spanish or learn how to juggle.
